Numbing Cream Before Treatment
Numbing Cream Before Treatment
If you feel anxious about the treatment being painful, there are solutions. Many of our customers use numbing cream to reduce discomfort during the treatment. The most common creams used are Emla and Tapin cream, but there are also other options to buy online.
The numbing cream is used by applying a thick layer of cream that covers the entire tattoo. Then you wrap the tattoo with regular plastic wrap and tape along all edges to make it airtight. Just before treatment, you then wash off the cream. The numbing cream usually reduces the discomfort by about 30-60% and it has no negative effect on the result.
At all our clinics, we also use cooling machines to further alleviate discomfort. We cool the skin before, during and after the treatment. After the treatment, you get a reusable ice pack that helps reduce the risk of blisters and can be comfortable if the area feels sore. Most people experience no pain after the treatment, but it is mainly during the treatment itself that you may feel discomfort.
Please note that due to strict regulations for medicines, we can neither recommend nor provide numbing cream.
