How to cover a tattoo

Covering a tattoo can be done for various reasons. Tattoos can primarily be concealed by applying thicker foundation makeup (though this is only temporary), completely removing them with laser treatment, or laser-treating them enough so that a new tattoo can be placed over the existing one—a so-called cover-up tattoo.

You might feel that the tattoo no longer represents who you are, or you may be dissatisfied with the design you chose ten years ago. As mentioned, there are many reasons for wanting to remove a tattoo completely or to do a cover-up.

Covering a tattoo with a cover-up is becoming increasingly common, and with the help of tattoo removal, it is often hardly noticeable that there was a tattoo in that area before. However, it is not possible to cover up all tattoos. By consulting a tattoo artist or a laser specialist, you can find out whether it is feasible.
