Do you have a cover-up you want to remove?Cover-ups have been a common solution for concealing tattoos for as long as tattoos have existed. Sometimes mistakes are made, such as misspellings in text, or a design becomes outdated. Regardless of the reason for a cover-up, many choose to go this route. Before a cover-up, it is usually necessary to undergo 1-4 laser treatments to lighten the tattoo and prepare it for a new design. The number of treatments and whether a cover-up is feasible depends on how dark the existing tattoo is and what design has been chosen for the new tattoo.
Are you not satisfied with your cover-up?
For some, the old tattoo may still show through the new one, or the result may not have turned out as expected. If you've decided that you no longer want your tattoo at all, our laser specialists can help you remove it.
Removing a cover-up tattoo
A cover-up is defined as having two or more tattoos in the same area of the skin. The old and new ink have mixed. To completely remove a cover-up, it may sometimes require more treatments, as the specialist must take into account that there may be different inks in the same layer that require different laser strengths.
