Cooling Machine

At all our clinics, we use cooling machines to reduce the sensation of pain and discomfort. The treatment for tattoo removal can feel quite intense because the laser shatters the ink into smaller particles, which the body can then naturally eliminate.

During the treatment, we blow cold air (-8 degrees Celsius) onto the tattoo before, during, and after the laser procedure. The cold helps temporarily numb the skin, thereby reducing sensitivity to the laser treatment. After the treatment is complete, the tattoo may feel slightly tender, but you will not experience any pain.

Reduced side effects and increased effectiveness

Cooling also helps reduce swelling, inflammation, and redness after the treatment, shortening the recovery period and making the experience more pleasant. This also decreases the risk of potential side effects and promotes faster healing. You will also receive a cooling pack to take home, so you can continue to cool the tattoo after the treatment.

In addition to the immediate benefits regarding pain relief and reduced side effects, the use of a cooling machine is also advantageous for the effectiveness and results of the treatment. By keeping the skin cool during the procedure, the risk of overheating the tissue is minimized, which improves the laser’s ability to break down the ink evenly and effectively. A more uniform and efficient breakdown of the ink leads to better results with fewer treatments.
